What is the role of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist / Radiographer?
Our team is made up of both Technologists and Radiographers. Radiographers will have completed their undergraduate Radiography training. Nuclear Medicine Technologists train specifically in the field of Nuclear Medicine.
A technologist / radiographers role in Nuclear Medicine is:
- To handle and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and in line with ARSAC guidance.
- Ensure that isotopes are stored of and disposed of correctly.
- Produce high quality images in demanding situations.
- Be able to provide reassurance and explain procedures to patients.
