Following a nationwide search, Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is celebrating being named as one of the top 120 best places to work in the NHS by respected healthcare publication the Health Service Journal in partnership with NHS Employers.
Using details from the national NHS staff survey, the accolade puts the Trust, which runs East Surrey Hospital and provides a range of other services at Crawley and Horsham Hospitals; The Earlswood Centre; Oxted Health Centre and Caterham Dene Hospital, with the best providers of NHS services across the country.
Michael Wilson, chief executive at the Trust said: “I am very proud that our Trust has been rated as one of the best places to work in the NHS. Every day, our staff are focused on delivering high quality care to local people and it is fantastic to know that their positivity about where they work has been recognised.
“We each have a role to play in making our Trust a great place to work and it is thanks to everyone that we all benefit – importantly we also know that this proactive approach means a better experience for the people we care for.”
The HSJ describes the awards as recognising organisations that show that they know what it takes to create environments where people enjoy coming to work.
