A celebration of life
We understand the importance of providing an opportunity for friends and family to remember loved ones who have died at East Surrey Hospital. The chaplaincy and palliative care teams work together to ensure a service is offered which gives space for reflection and prayer.
Relatives and friends of those who have recently passed away are invited to attend a special service to remember loved ones through readings and music.
Typically the service lasts no more than 45 minutes and includes a time for those who want to reflect on memories that are personal to them. We also know that as part of the healing process some people need to talk and some take the opportunity to meet others who understand what it is to lose someone they love.
