We are now offering video consultations to some patients who have been identified by their doctor or nurse as someone who may be suitable for this type of appointment.

How to use Attend Anywhere

If you are using the video consultations for the first time we would recommend watching this video which will give you an idea of how your video consultation will work.

We recognise that the traditional face to face appointment isn’t always convenient and we know that some people need to come to hospital several times as part of their care. Sometimes it is possible to have a convenient video consultation from home or in your work place rather than coming to hospital. Feedback shows that some people find this more convenient and a better experience.

Attend Anywhere is a secure web-based platform for patients with pre-arranged video consultation appointments. You can use the platform on any Personal Computer, Mac or iPhone/iPad/Android device, using Google Chrome internet browser (for Personal Computers/Mac/Android devices) or Safari internet browser (For iPhones/iPad devices and Macs). This will not work on Internet Explorer.

Before your appointment, please test your equipment. You can do this by clicking the test call button.

Only patients who have been invited to attend their appointment by video will be seen in this way – all other patients should follow the information provided regarding attending their appointment.

On the date and time of your appointment you will be able to enter your clinic via the ‘start video call’ button.

You will be asked to enter your Name, Date of Birth and a contact telephone that will enable us to identify you and call you back if there are any difficulties. If you are entering details on behalf of a minor or somebody else please ensure you enter the patient’s details and not your own. We will not store the details you submit and any details will be transferred securely

It is a good idea to enter the waiting room a few minutes early where you will be greeted by a member of our Virtual Hospital Reception Team who will confirm your appointment and check you in.

Once the consultation is complete, you will be directed to an online survey. We would appreciate any feedback. You can also access the survey here.

You will also receive a text message reminding you of your video consultation 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment, you will then be able to connect to this service using the link provided within the text message.
