We are a team of dietitians and diabetic assistants based at East Surrey Hospital.
What is a dietitian?
We are qualified health professionals who assess, diagnose and treat dietary and nutritional problems.
We work with individuals, and to support wider public health. We translate scientific information about food into practical, evidence-based advice.
We are the only nutrition professionals to be regulated by law and must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
We are governed by an ethical code to ensure that we always work to the highest standards.
What services do we provide?
Outpatients
We accept adult and paediatric outpatient referrals from consultants or other health professionals at Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (SASH).
If you are not under a consultant or health professional at SASH, please ask your GP to refer you to community dietetics.
Inpatients
We see inpatients at East Surrey Hospital between Monday and Friday (excluding bank holidays).
We cover many specialist areas in the hospital including critical care, gastroenterology, neonates, paediatrics, stroke and surgery.
