Patients with suspected cancer are referred to the Head and Neck Lump Clinics held on Thursdays, 9.30am-12.30pm, at East Surrey Hospital. Before the clinic, at 8.30am, the multidisciplinary team for Ears Nose and Throat cancer holds a live conference link with the ENT oncology team at the St Luke’s Centre, based at Royal Surrey Hospital, Guildford, to discuss cases.
Diagnostic procedure is carried out at East Surrey Hospital, but radiotherapy and final surgical procedures take place in the St Luke’s Centre.
Patients with suspected cancer are referred by their GP under the two week rule and are seen either in the head and neck lump clinic or at one of the ENT clinics at Crawley and Horsham, within 14 days.
