This is a highly specialised service which treats patients with severe and complex needs, usually involving more than one dental specialty. It does not duplicate the work carried out by general dental and specialist orthodontic practitioners. Our team also offers diagnostic and treatment planning advice to dentists and orthodontic specialists.
Patients are referred from general medical and dental practitioners and orthodontic specialists as well as other teams within the Oral & Facial Unit and the Trust.
Orthodontic treatment is carried out Monday to Thursday, 9am-5pm, and an outpatient assessment and review clinic is held Tuesday and Thursday, 9am-1pm.
Our orthodontic specialists are part of the Oral & Facial Unit’s multidisciplinary teams which hold joint clinics to ensure an integrated approach to the treatment of patients.
The joint clinics are held monthly.
