This specialist service is provided by a consultant-led team linked to the Royal Surrey Hospital including secondary care outpatient clinics in oral medicine and maxillofacial oncology. Orthognathic surgery, trauma care and surgical dermatology are provided by linked maxillofacial surgeons working between East Surrey Hospital and the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford.
Our team also provides orthognathic treatment (corrective jaw surgery) in conjunction with the orthodontic department.
Referrals
All referrals from general dental practitioners must be made through DERS (Dental Electronic Referral Service) including two week waits. GPs and medical practitioners can make referral via the choose and book system.
The outpatient booking office is responsible for processing ALL referrals for outpatient appointments which then initiates the patient’s 18 week RTT status.
