Joint antenatal clinic
These are held at East Surrey Hospital on Tuesday afternoons and at Crawley Hospital on Monday afternoons. The consultants join the obstetrics team to care for pregnant women with diabetes.
Adolescent clinics
These are held jointly with the paediatricians for 16-19 years olds. There are three a year at East Surrey Hospital, and three a year at Crawley Hospital, normally held during the Christmas, Easter and Summer school/college holidays.
Patients under the age of 16 with diabetes are under the care of the Trust’s paediatricians and after the age of 19, diabetic patients are then seen in the general adult diabetes clinics.
High-risk diabetes foot clinic
First Community Health and Care runs an outpatient podiatry clinic for diabetes patients at East Surrey Hospital on Wednesday afternoons.
Dr James Clark reviews patients in the clinic as requested. Referrals to podiatry are accepted from any healthcare professional in primary or secondary care.
