General paediatric outpatient clinics
General Paediatric clinics are held at East Surrey Hospital and Crawley Hospital, Monday to Friday all day. All of our Consultants hold General clinics as well as some having specialty clinics. They are held in our Paediatric Outpatient Department at East Surrey and Crawley Jumbo Unit at Crawley.
Paediatric Allergy
Clinics are held at both Crawley and East Surrey Hospital.
Dr Greenaway holds a morning clinic every Thursday at Crawley Hospital and every Friday morning at East Surrey Hospital. Dr Ooi holds a clinic every Friday afternoon at Crawley Hospital. Dr Radha holds a clinic every Wednesday morning and alternate Tuesday mornings at East Surrey Hospital. Dr Khader holds a clinic every Monday morning at East Surrey Hospital and every Friday morning at Crawley Hospital.
Paediatric Cardiology and ECHO
Paediatric Cardiology clinics are held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at East Surrey Hospital with Dr Katta and Dr Storring. Dr Jawad also holds Paediatric Cardiology clinics on an ad hoc basis.
Echo clinics are also held at East Surrey Hospital on Monday afternoons.
Joint Cardiology Consultant Dr Naqvi from the Royal Brompton Hospital holds clinics at East Surrey Hospital on Thursdays once a month. Dr Nitha Naqvi | Royal Brompton & Harefield hospitals (rbht.nhs.uk)
Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis
MDT Clinics are held once a month at both East Surrey Hospital and Crawley Hospital with Dr Akingbade and/or Dr Greenaway. These patients can also be seen in the joint specialist respiratory clinic with the visiting consultant (Dr King) which is held 4 times a year.
Joint MDT Clinics are held at East Surrey Hospital and Crawley Hospital for general respiratory conditions and young patients with cystic fibrosis, with Dr John King from the Royal Brompton Hospital and Dr Akingbade. These are held 4 times a year.
Paediatric Diabetes
Clinics are held at East Surrey Hospital and Crawley Hospital.
Dr Ihezue holds a Diabetes Clinic every Monday afternoon at East Surrey Hospital and Wednesday afternoon at Crawley Hospital. Dr Aravamudhan holds a clinic on Monday afternoon at East Surrey on alternate weeks, Tuesday morning once a month and Thursday morning twice a month at Crawley Hospital. Dr Sajith holds a clinic on Monday afternoons alternating at East Surrey Hospital and Crawley Hospital, and alternate Thursday afternoons at East Surrey Hospital. Dr Kazeem holds a clinic on Wednesday mornings at East Surrey Hospital. Dr Jain holds a clinic on Monday afternoons at East Surrey Hospital.
Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurses – Claire Cadman and Georgina Wilcock for Surrey patients. Harriet Godwin and Louise Williams for Sussex Patients.
Paediatric 16+ Diabetes Specialist Nurses – Paula Mjeda and Mercy Hafeh for Surrey and Sussex patients.
The Paediatric Diabetes Dietetic service is made up of a team of 2 specialist Paediatric dietitians, 1 Paediatric dietitian and a Paediatric dietetic assistant. Each team member works part-time within the Paediatric diabetes team.
Paediatric Dermatology
These clinics take place monthly on a Monday morning, Friday morning and Thursday afternoon with Dr Das at East Surrey Hospital.
Paediatric Endocrinology
Clinics take place Monday morning with Dr Pullen at East Surrey Hospital and with Dr El Munshid on Monday afternoons at Crawley Hospital.

Paediatric Epilepsy/Neurology
Clinics take place with Dr Ansell and Dr Sambantham Monday mornings at Crawley Hospital, Dr Ansell Wednesday mornings at East Surrey Hospital and Dr Sambantham on some Thursday mornings at East Surrey Hospital.
A Joint Paediatric Neurology Clinic is held at East Surrey Hospital by Dr Luigi D’Argenzio from St George’s Hospital and at Crawley Hospital by Dr Antonia Clarke from St George’s Hospital along with our internal Paediatric Consultants.
Paediatric Gastroenterology
Clinics are held by Dr Rizk every Friday morning at East Surrey Hospital. Dr Gurreebun holds a clinic every Tuesday morning at East Surrey Hospital and alternate Monday mornings at Crawley Hospital.
Dr Gurreebun holds a monthly Coeliac clinic on Friday at either Crawley or East Surrey Hospital.
Joint Paediatric Gastroenterology Clinics are held at Crawley and East Surrey hospitals once a month by Dr Farah Barakat from Brighton Hospital and Dr Onyeador from St George’s.
Paediatric Haematology
Clinics take place at East Surrey Hospital on Tuesday mornings and 2 Wednesday afternoons a month with Dr Khoobarry.
Paediatric Renal
These clinics take place 2 Wednesday afternoons a month at East Surrey Hospital with Dr Khoobarry.
Neonatal clinics
The extremely premature babies will have special follow up by Dr Klutse, Dr Akingbade and Dr Wilkins.
The clinic is held twice a month at East Surrey Hospital on Wednesday mornings with Dr Akingbade and Thursday mornings at East Surrey Hospital. These babies will have a follow-up for the first two years of their life – the frequency will be as per the medical needs of the baby.

Paediatric Oncology
MDT clinics take place on a Wednesday morning with Dr Klutse and Dr Osofisan at East Surrey Hospital.
Paediatric Surgery (Including Urology and ENT)
Paediatric Urology and General Surgery Clinics take place at East Surrey Hospital every Thursday and at Crawley Hospital once a month on a Thursday and every other Wednesday all day. These are held with Miss Sheth, Mr Darwish and Mr Bhandarkar who are all visiting consultants from Brighton Hospital.

Paediatric Rheumatology
Dr McGlone runs a clinic Thursday morning at East Surrey Hospital.
Joint Clinic - Dr Vinay Shivamurthy, Consultant Paediatric Rheumatologist from Evelina Children’s Hospital, runs clinics at East Surrey Hospital six times a year on alternate 3rd Thursdays of the month with Dr McGlone.
Paediatric Ophthalmology
These clinics take place at East Surrey and at Crawley Hospital. The consultants are Miss Weston and Ms Parvizi. Orthoptic and refraction clinics are held at East Surrey and at Crawley Hospitals.
Cardiology
- Cardiology consultant Dr Naqvi from the Brompton holds clinics at East Surrey Hospital on Thursdays
Clinical genetics
- Clinics are held at Crawley Hospital, on the third Thursday of the month. They are run by Dr Meriel McEntagart from St George’s Hospital. There is also a clinic at Crawley Hospital on the third Friday of the month in the afternoon with Dr Alsters from St George’s.
Endocrinology
- Clinics are held at East Surrey Hospital with Dr Assunta Albanese, consultant endocrinologist from St George’s Hospital, and Dr Debbie Pullen.
Epilepsy
- Held at the Crawley Child Development Centre in Crawley Hospital with Dr Krishna Das, consultant paediatric neurologist from Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Gastroenterology
- Clinics are held at Crawley and East Surrey hospitals by Dr Butt from Brighton Hospital and Dr Onyeador from St George’s.
Nephrology (kidneys)
- Paediatric nephrology cases are currently referred to Guy’s Hospital, but we are in discussions with Guy’s about restarting outreach clinics at SASH. Patients are referred to these clinics by paediatric consultants.
Neurology
- Clinics are held at East Surrey and Crawley hospitals and are led by Dr Gelfer from St George’s and Kerry McGarrity, Advanced Clinical Practitioner.
Respiratory clinics
- Clinics are held at East Surrey Hospital and Crawley Hospital for general respiratory conditions and young patients with cystic fibrosis, with Dr Ian Balfour-Lynn from the Royal Brompton Hospital and Dr Catherine Greenaway.
Paediatric Clinical Genetics
- Clinics are held at Crawley Hospital, on the third Thursday of the month. They are run by Dr Matina Prapa from St George’s Hospital.
Paediatric Trauma and Orthopaedics
- Clinics are held at East Surrey and Crawley hospitals and are led by Miss Gelfer (Paediatric Orthopaedic Consultant) from St George’s Hospital and Kerry McGarrity, Advanced Clinical Practitioner.
