Brighton Medical Students

Brighton Medical Students

Year 5 Brighton & Sussex Medical Students join us for a total of 8 weeks and their placement can include time in any of the following specialities:

General Medicine (AMU, Respiratory, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Rheumatology)
Elderly Medicine Surgery (Upper GI, Lower GI, Breast, Critical Care & Anaesthetics)
Paediatrics
O&G
Mental Health

In addition to attending different clinics and gaining invaluable experience on the ward, you will also be provided with an interesting and varied teaching programme and formal simulation training. A select group of Foundation Trainees will also give you teaching on a weekly basis.

Dr Sandeep Cliff is passionate in his role as Clinical Sub Dean for the Brighton & Sussex Medical Students and warmly welcomes undergraduates to our Trust. He is keen to provide an environment whereby you can develop and enrich your skills.

Some of our recent feedback includes:

‘All Consultants were supportive and keen to teach’
‘Tea, biscuits and lunches on lecture days was lovely’
‘JMANS was great’
‘Great support from Sub Dean & staff’
‘Accommodation very nice’
‘The seminar programme and F1 teaching has been great’
‘Good accommodation and library services’
