Interventional Radiology

Interventional Radiology covers a range of techniques which rely on the use radiological image guidance, such as ultrasound or MRI, to precisely target therapy. Most treatments are minimally invasive alternatives to open and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery.

Interventional radiology services include:

  • Nephrostomy
  • Ureteric Stenting
  • Biopsies
  • Peripheral angiography, angioplasties and arterial stenting
  • IVC filter insertion
  • SVC stenting
  • Arterial and venous embolization, including fibroid embolization service
  • Percutaneous biliary intervention
