Work on a large new bus shelter at East Surrey Hospital starts on Monday(8) and should be completed within two weeks. During this period the bus shelter site, which is near the hospital’s Main Entrance, will be cordoned off and the old bus shelter will be unavailable.
The new shelter is larger, brighter and will have space for wheelchair passengers. Director of Information and Facilities, Ian Mackenzie, said: “The Trust is keen to encourage people to use public transport to get to the hospital. We reinvest money from parking fees into improving parking and transport facilities for patients and visitors and as part of this we recently opened over 100 new car parking spaces.”
