Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (SASH) employ a diverse range of staff from a wide demographic, which enables the Trust to provide first class care to patients.
Michael Wilson CBE, chief executive said: “The on-going discussions regarding the UK leaving the EU have been unsettling for some staff, however I can assure you that we value all of our staff equally and we want staff from the EU to stay with us.
“As part of this commitment, we are keen to support any member of staff who is eligible to apply for the EU Settlement Scheme. This scheme has been introduced to secure the rights of EU citizens living in the UK post Brexit.
“We are waiting for full details of the application process for the scheme to be published by the Home Office, however we are aware that from 29 November, all eligible NHS workers can apply. The scheme costs £65 and I can confirm that the Trust will fund this for all applications from current staff.”
As soon as further details on the application process for the scheme and prior to 29 November, Michael Wilson CBE, chief executive at SASH will write to all staff who we have recorded as being from the EU, to offer individual support and reassurance.
