On the 10th of May, the Post Graduate Education Centre hosted the annual Leadership Project Poster Exposition.
Open to all SASH staff, the competition invited entries from Clinical and Non Clinical categories and offered cash prizes for First, Second and Third places judged by a multi professional panel including the SASH CEO Professor Michael Wilson.
There were four main criteria that the posters were judged on, Layout, Content, Effectiveness and Leadership Role.
Each poster had to reflect upon a real world project that could have been either new innovation bringing about change through leadership, service improvement, or Management change and the aims and objectives needed to be clearly stated along with full details of the outcome – positive or negative, including the impact of the project. If a negative outcome was observed, then an overview of lessons learnt was also required.
This year we had 21 entries over the two categories and the quality of submission was particularly high.
The Tutor for Clinical Leadership & Management, Miss Jean Arokiasamy, had the following to say about this year’s competition:-
A very big thank you to all, for making it both an enjoyable and successful day.
Most importantly I would like to thank Professor Michael Wilson for his time, presence, kind words and encouragement. They are greatly valued and will be continually acted upon.
To the participant’s medical and non-medical, your time and effort in recognising and bringing about improvement is much appreciated by the Trust. These projects will certainly lend themselves well to ensuring our SASH patient’s journey is much safer and more effective. Your work will inspire greater participation.
