The theatre team at East Surrey Hospital is holding an open event for registered and non-registered clinical staff. This includes any student nurses and nursing assistants who would like to find out more about working in the hospital’s state of the art theatres.
The event on Saturday June 27th, which runs from 9.30am to 2.30pm in the post graduate education centre (PGEC), includes study sessions, an exhibition area, viewings of the simulation suite and a theatre tour. It is an opportunity to learn first-hand about a range of roles and opportunities in the team.
“Whether you’re newly qualified, returning to work or just looking for a new career challenge, it’s a great chance to visit Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust and find out more about working for one of the most successful hospitals in the country”, said Diane Lester, general manager for perioperative services (theatres).
Every year the theatre team performs approximately 35,300 planned operations across a range of surgical specialities and this summer will see the completion of a multi-million pound extension and refurbishment programme.
There is no need to book a place, you can just turn up on the day.
