Specialist staff at East Surrey Hospital are holding their next Glaucoma Support Group meeting this Friday (2).
The group is run by Fiona O’ Sullivan, Consultant Ophthalmologist in Glaucoma, and Sister Ann Stribblehill, who both work at the hospital run by Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.
On the agenda this week are glaucoma and ocular hypertension and driving with glaucoma.
All newly diagnosed patients and patients with long standing glaucoma are welcome to come along to the meeting which starts at 4pm in Limpsfield ward.
Glaucoma is an eye disease which can lead to irreversible vision loss and is the second leading cause of blindness in the world. Once the diagnosis of glaucoma is made it is a life long condition which requires monitoring and managing.
