The cancer team at East Surrey Hospital are holding their first health and wellbeing day for people affected by cancer.
Come along and browse the information stands and listen to a variety of expert speakers from clinicians and psychotherapists to dieticians and exercise instructors. Practical advice on financial benefits and carers support will also be available.
There will be an exhibition of stands supported by a number of organisations and charities including: Macmillan Cancer Support, The Olive Tree, Brigitte Trust, Lymphoma Association and Carer Support.
Jane Penny, Macmillan lead cancer nurse for Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, which runs the hospital, said: “We hope the day will help people living with and beyond cancer find out more about the wide variety of support and information that is available for them, their families and carers.”
The event is on Wednesday 11 November from 9.30am to 4.30pm in the Post Graduate Education Centre at East Surrey Hospital. Free parking, refreshments and lunch will be provided. Places are limited so please register by e mailing mary.parsonage@sash.nhs.uk or phone 01737 768511 x6684.
