Help with travel costs

Concessionary fares

If you are of state pensionable age, or have a disability, your local authority may be able to help you with the cost of bus and rail travel. If it is impossible for you to travel on your own, reduced fares for your companion may also be available. Contact your local borough or district council for more information:

Children under 16 usually travel for half fare on buses in Surrey and Sussex, but will need to have some proof of their age. Children under five travel free on buses (to a limit of two per travelling adult).
