Shrilla Banerjee, a SASH Consultant Cardiologist, has recently returned from representing the UK at an international cardiology leadership forum in Washington, D.C.
She was one of only two cardiologists from across the UK to be handpicked by the President of the British Cardiovascular Society to attend The American College of Cardiology’s Leadership Training Program last month (11 December). The event, which was hosted by two past Presidents of the American College of Cardiology, Dr Anthony DeMaria and Dr William Zoghbi, brought together 40 doctors from across the globe to offer intensive leadership training.
She said: “It was an amazing experience and I was hugely honoured to be representing Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust in an international forum, which included colleagues from large hospitals in Brazil, Japan, China, Germany, India, Ecuador, Mexico, Spain, Canada and Chile.”
