Our wards are very busy, so in order to be able to assist you as quickly and smoothly as possible, we please ask that only the designated next of kin ring us to check up on their loved ones. This will ease the burden on our nurses and clinicians by allowing them to focus on caring for our patients and giving one point of contact all the necessary information the first time they call. If you are the main point of contact, we ask that you please update others in your family. Where possible, please ring the ward after 10am, to allow for the handovers, breakfast and medication rounds to take place. If the relevant healthcare professional is not available at that time, we will endeavour to ensure they call you back.
