The Horley Singers raised £515.00 for the East Surrey Macmillan Breast Care Nurses at their musical evening in December. A big thank you to everyone involved.
Turtle Tots believe in supporting charities that are close to their heart and Turtle Tots East Surrey have decided to support the Maternity Ward at East Surrey Hospital.
They have chosen to support our Maternity Ward as it holds the very first memories our parents have of meeting their babies for the first time. Supporting such an important and local charity allows us to put something back into the community, helping towards the provision of care and support received by expectant mothers and the safe delivery of East Surrey’s new arrivals.
Turtle Tots is a unique swimming programme which begins with aqua-natal yoga, and continues with specialist and progressive baby and toddler classes. Parents and carers learn to swim with their little ones both above and below the water.
At the end of each term a percentage of all Turtle Tots class fees will be donated to the ward.
Halliwell Marks is a completely independent family run estate agent based in Reigate. They believe moving house can, and should be, an exciting and positive experience. So have created a brand new style of estate agency to deliver a welcome change to the property industry. They offer clients a personal approach, combining an efficient and highly professional service with exceptional value for money where profits come second to our client’s needs. They also give back to the local community. Vendors select a local charity, from a shortlist of four, carefully identified by Halliwell Marks, who are then personally handed £100 following a sale, or £50 per let.
As a family they have lived in the immediate area since 1976 and currently live in various parts of Reigate. They all have young children and have used East Surrey with all of their children being born in East Surrey Hospital. Therefore they felt that it was only appropriate to directly support the Children’s Ward as one of their chosen charities.
In the lead up to Kate's due date Belfry Shopping centre in Redhill gave shoppers the chance to ‘guess the name’ of the royal baby, the competition was free to enter but there was the opportunity to donate money to the Maternity Unit at East Surrey Hospital.
