Who are you?
Hannah Robinson.
Summarise your role.
I am the lead respiratory CNS which involves supporting the respiratory and tuberculosis clinical nurse specialist teams. On top of supporting these teams my role includes reviewing inpatients, running clinics for outpatients with respiratory conditions and home oxygen support.
What do you find rewarding about your role?
Every day I face new challenges and I enjoy learning from and overcoming these. Our job involves having close rapports with some of our long-term patients and it is rewarding to follow their journey. I have been involved in planning new opportunities within the trust, including the initiation of tobacco dependency advisors who will specialise in providing smoking cessation support to inpatients.
What do you find challenging?
As I am fairly new to being the lead so I am still learning and can find prioritising responsibilities at times challenging.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
I bake, play hockey and swim, in last few months have taken up cold water swimming which I really enjoy.
