Who are you?
I'm Faye Gregg, team lead in the outpatient booking office (OBO) for outpatient first bookings, women and children’s health (WACH)and care of the elderly.
Summarise your role.
My responsibilities include ensuring all patients are booked in a timely manner in accordance with referral to treatment wait times (RTT) and making sure we utilise our clinic capacity effectively for our patients here at SASH.
What do you find rewarding about your role?
Making sure our patients' journeys at SASH runs smoothly. I love knowing our patients are satisfied with our customer service and offering them an appointment that is convenient for them. At the end of the day when I look at my team lead report, I like finding my clinic utilisation is on point.
What do you find challenging?
There is never a quiet day in OBO. There is always work to be done, whether it be answering the phone to inbound calls or filling a last-minute clinic. Sometimes it can be quite challenging prioritising my workload and making sure everything gets done.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
Once a week I go to my local rock choir practice, we are currently busy learning Perfect by Ed Sheeran. I also love a board game, I have quite a large collection and enjoy playing (and winning!) a board game at the weekend, I am also partial to a pub quiz and I’m very competitive.
