Who are you?
Louisa Wallace
Summarise your role.
I lead and support improvement events for teams across SASH and provide training to colleagues to use lean tools and techniques to know, run and improve their services. As part of the role I develop and deliver the Lean for Leaders programme.
What do you find rewarding about your role?
It is a privilege to follow learning cohorts through the programme. It is so exciting to see colleagues learning and really applying the tools and techniques of SASH+ to improve processes, but also it is great to see them learning with and from each other in the group – I made some great lasting connections through Lean for Leaders myself!
It is also great that that this role allows me to work with different teams towards improvement events.
What do you find challenging?
With the pandemic and ongoing operational demands on services it has been challenging for colleagues to step out to engage in improvement and training: juggling so many demands alongside their lean learning and improvement activities.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
I spend time with family, socialise with friends and walk in the countryside on our doorstep- Box Hill, Ranmore, Denbies... Of course, I enjoy a hot summer holiday and relish being able to get further away again post lockdown but I have a new fondness for a quick trip to the Kent coast; happy times round Whitstable or Margate! I am finally trying out some simple creativity: crochet, and just returning to yoga.
